Additionally, I lead the review and approval process for microbiology testing parameters results for drug products, water systems, stability, and environmental monitoring. Ensuring laboratory compliance with regulations, handling audits, and focusing on sterility assurance for the aseptic processing area are integral parts of my role, contributing to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.

PROJECTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In my project at SKOL Breweries Limited, I conducted a comprehensive study on the microbiology of beer production and various techniques involved. This included assessing the purity of water used, checking for contamination in the production process, and analyzing the viability and consistency of yeast. I also monitored the fermentation process at different intervals, checked the purity of mature beer, and analyzed the quality of filtered beer. Additionally, I conducted environmental surveys to ensure hygienic conditions and determined the rate of fermentability. This project provided valuable insights into the intricacies of brewery microbiology and its importance in ensuring the quality of beer production.

In my research project under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) Susan John K at the Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram, I focused on the 'Isolation and Characterization of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria from a Long Term Fertilizer Experiment under Cassava'. My role involved assessing the microbial population in different treatments of the experiment, identifying phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, and determining their solubilizing ability. I also undertook molecular characterization and studied the biochemical characteristics of these bacteria. The project aimed to correlate the population of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria with soil-available phosphorus, providing valuable insights into sustainable agricultural practices.
